Our Philosophy
Skills Unlimited Soccer Academy’s goal is to design programs for all ages and ability levels of players. We specialize in teaching the Technical, Tactical, and Psychological tools of soccer through our Developmental Program, Camps, Team training and Individual/Private training. Our students experience a learning environment that focuses on Teaching Skills, Building Confidence and Encouraging Creativity on the ball.  We believe that the mix of professional players, experienced college and international coaches creates an unforgettable learning experience for each player.

Specifically geared towards youth development, the ultimate goal of S.U.S.A. is to develop the required skills in each player and see a continuous improvement from the time we start to the time we finish! Our program is committed to creating a competitive environment for each player and enhancing players ability to excel to their true potential, athletically, mentally and spiritually through unlimited skills, perseverance and commitment.

"In soccer, winning becomes a habit. At S.U.S.A. we develop a winning habit by teaching the right tools from our developmental program to our travel program." Skills Unlimited Soccer academy provide a wide range of training packages for all levels and ability. Our training programs include: Player Development (ages 5 and UP), Travel Team Training and Individual/Private Training.

Elaine O'Connor: Irish Women's National Team member (position midfield)
Hofstra Univ. Graduate
A 2-time CAA first team, coordinator of special training for midfielders.
O'Connor's club teams in Europe included Lourdes Celtic FC and the Arsenal Ladies Team. O'Connor also played for the Hofstra Pride and was selected to the Colonial Athletic Association All-Conference First Team in 2002 and 2003. O'Connor was named the Irish National Player of the Year in 2005.

Sonya Hughes: Irish Women’s national team Franklin Pierce College, New Hampshire- First team All America 2005, collected NSCAA/adidas All-America honors for the second-straight year, becoming the ninth two-time All-American in program history. She totaled 13 goals (4th NE-10) and eight assists (4th) for 34 points
(3rd) for the Ravens for fall 2005, also netting six match-winning goals, which ranked third in the NE-10.

She collected MVP honors for the NE-10 Tournament as she scored three goals, including the match-winner with just 38-seconds remaining in regulation in the Ravens 1-0 victory over No. 18 Assumption College in the title match. Hughes, a two-time NE-10 All-
Academic and ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District selection, also collected ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America honors in 2004. She finished her career ranked ninth all-time at the College with 103 career points, while her 32 career goals are good for 11th and her 39 career assists rank ninth in program history. Hughes also ranks seventh with 12 career match-winning goals.

DIANE DECARLO
Diane is a great teacher of the game and has been coaching for the last 10 YEARS
Coaching in West Islip Soccer Club for the last 10 years
Coach of travel and intramural teams in West Islip and a tournament team for U9 girls
 As a young player, Diane played SELECT from the ages of 10-16

A Consistent STATE TEAM PLAYER from the ages of 11-18
Made the REGIONAL team at 15
Played on Varsity from 9th grade- 12th grade (starting over seniors)
Made ALL COUNTY- ALL LEAGUE
Played on the Empire State games from 9th – 12th grade
Currently playing for the Stony Brook Bohemians (Women’s Open)


 

JENN McGAY
Jenn is very passionate about Soccer, a great player and a great teacher of the game. On the Board of Directors for the Long Island ladies Soccer, she is currently playing soccer with the ladies open-Commack Dirty worms. Youth soccer trainer for several years now, Jenn works with different clubs on the Island.
